About Us:

The Cleantech Network is a dedicated peak body championing sustainability and
clean technology solutions across the Sunshine Coast and beyond. We are
committed to promoting environmental stewardship and fostering innovation in clean
tech. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and organised individual
to join our team as a voluntary Secretary.

Role Overview:

As the Secretary for Cleantech Network, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the
smooth operation of our organisation. This position is ideal for retirees, those
seeking meaningful volunteer work, or anyone passionate about sustainability. You
will be instrumental in maintaining records, managing communications, and
supporting the board’s activities, while also aiding in compliance and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meeting Coordination and Documentation:
  • Board agendas, minutes, membership documentation
• Managing inward/outward Board Communication:
  • Act as the primary contact for board-related communications.
• Record Keeping:
  • Maintain and update organisational records, including bylaws, policies, and board
    resolutions.
• Compliance and Legal Requirements:
  • Partner with the Board to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory
    requirements.
• Support the Board:
  • Assist in developing and implementing Board policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the board, members, partners, and
    stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
• Familiarity with nonprofit organisations or a keen interest in the sector preferred.
• Proficiency in office software (Google Suite, Word, Excel...) and basic CRM (training provided).

Key Requirements:

• Attend monthly board meetings and any special meetings as required (e.g., AGM).
• Board meetings are held on the last Tuesday of every month from 4-6 PM.
• Estimated time commitment: 6-10 hours per month.
