Paul Donovan from Inspirations Paints has four stores on the Sunshine Coast at Beerwah, Caloundra, Nambour, and Noosa and has been “looking to upgrade our environmental solutions''. This included the recycling and reusing plastic paint drums commonly used on construction sites throughout the Sunshine Coast.

Paul told the Cleantech Network, “We are a test case for the rolling out the Dulux Envirosolutions program on the Sunshine Coast. I am seeking assistance from businesses and people in the industry that may have systems already to consider in this field. If so, I would love to hear from your organisation.”

The program is essentially focused on a few key points:
- Collection of plastic drums for recycling.
- Builders committed to collect these on site and clean.
- Stores (Inspirations Paint) commit to storage of the drums for collection by - Dulux when they deliver new stock.
- Dulux transports the drums to the facility for recycling.
